The Stainless steel disc granulator is also called a disc granulator. The granulation principle of the granulator is as follows: the powder added from the feeding pipe into the inclined disc adheres to the droplets sprayed by the liquid sprayer to form a small particle group. The gravity and centrifugal force generated by the inclined disc during rotation make the small particle group roll to the lower edge of the disc and adhere to the powder, making the particles grow larger.
Disc: It is the core component of granulation. It generally adopts an overall arc structure. The design of the disc angle helps to improve the granulation rate. Some discs have multiple radiating steel plates at the bottom to reinforce them, making them durable and never deformed. Its diameter, inclination angle, and side height are important parameters that affect the granulation effect and production capacity.
Transmission part: It is usually composed of an electric motor and a reducer. The electric motor provides power, and the reducer adjusts the speed and transmits power to the disc. Both of them are mostly driven by flexible belts, which start smoothly and reduce impact force, which can increase the service life of the equipment.
Adjustment part: It is used to adjust the inclination angle of the disc to meet the requirements of different materials and production processes. The general inclination adjustment range is between 35 degrees and 90 degrees.
Scraper device: It includes unpowered combined scrapers, etc., which can clean the edges and bottoms, and the corner scrapers can clean the disc corners. With the unique processing technology of the disc body, it has good silt removal and balling effects, avoids the appearance of large mud balls, and can also ensure that the material balls are not pulled or torn when discharging.
Frame and base: The frame is used to support the entire transmission part and the rotating working part, and is mostly made of high-quality carbon channel steel welded together; the base is generally designed to be a thickened, heavier, and sturdy structure that does not require anchor bolts to fix it and runs smoothly.
It can be used to make particles of various chemical products, such as catalysts, adsorbents, etc. In the pharmaceutical industry, it can make drug powder into pills or particles for easy administration and storage. In the food industry, it is suitable for the granulation production of food additives, seasonings, etc. to ensure stable product quality.
Uniform granulation and high granulation rate: The unique disc structure and working principle enable it to produce particles with uniform particle size and high sphericity, and the granulation rate can usually reach more than 93%.
Wide range of applications: It can be used for granulation of various materials, such as chemical raw materials, pharmaceutical intermediates, food additives, feed, compound fertilizer, organic fertilizer, metallurgical powder, etc. It has a certain adaptability to the particle size and humidity of the material, but different materials may require appropriate adjustment of process parameters.
