The fertilizer drum film coating machine is a special equipment used to coat the surface of fertilizer particles with a protective film. This coating has many important functions. First, it can control the release rate of fertilizer nutrients and realize the slow-release function. For example, for some crops that need to provide nutrients for a long time, coated fertilizers can slowly release nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium over a long period of time, avoiding the rapid loss and waste of nutrients and improving the utilization rate of fertilizers. Secondly, coating can reduce the loss of fertilizers caused by moisture absorption, agglomeration and other factors during storage and transportation, and ensure the good physical properties of fertilizers. In addition, coating can also prevent the adverse effects of fertilizers on soil and environment to a certain extent, such as reducing the stimulation of fertilizers on soil microorganisms and pollution of water bodies.

Fertilizer particles enter the coating drum (or coating disk) of the coating system from the feeding system. Under the rotation of the drum (or disk), the fertilizer particles begin to tumble. At the same time, the coating material supply device sprays the coating liquid evenly on the surface of the tumbling fertilizer particles through the nozzle. After the coating liquid forms a thin film on the surface of the fertilizer particles, the hot air generated by the drying system enters the coating area, evaporates the solvent in the coating liquid, and solidifies the coating material, thereby forming a complete coating on the surface of the fertilizer particles. This process is circulated continuously until the fertilizer particles reach the required coating thickness and quality standards, and finally the qualified coated fertilizer is discharged through the discharging system.
